I just wanted to say "Hi" to all and look forward to gaining more info. I'm a new chicken mom and love them. I'm in lower Alabama with my horses (7), dogs (4), cockatiels (4), jenday conure (1) and various chickens (2) RIR, (3) Easter Eggers, (3) Gold Sebrights, (3) Buff Orpingtons, (1) Mille Fleur D'Uccle and (4) Malyasian Seramas...also have (7) Serama Chicks too with more on the way. It's wonderful to have a site where folks are so free with their knowledge and willing to help us novices out. Originally the chickens were for our own egg source, but I love them so much that we've branched out to some different breeds. Very addictive...like potato chips...you can't have just one!! I would love to net work with some folks in my area and maybe do an egg/chick exchange. I'm not comfortable with shipping (I'm still too novice!) and I like to see what I'm getting. Again, thanks to the founders and members for this group. This is one of my "go to" places when I need answers. JP
