Hello out there in bird land and thank you for all your wonderful posts. I have been on the site four days and already have a new chicken door and t-shirt ordered, yippee.
I am a fairly new chicken mom (1 year) with 7 hens. I have 2 buff orpingtons, 2 well summers, 2 speckled sussexes and a cross of some sort of white hen with black legs. All brown egg layers. In the last year, I have learned so much by experience, such as death by predators, deworming, mites, and surviving dog attacks, now I have you to go to to read up on what to expect as part of the deal.
Along with the girls, I have 3 rescue dogs, a cat and a husband I feed, daily. We moved from Southern California to Central Oregon to follow my dreams, now that I have chickens, I feel my life is complete.
