I probably had two months of getting one egg a day or an egg every other day. Well these stinking freeloaders are finally starting to come back into lay! I just came back in from the barn. Today I got my first egg from my lavender bantam ameraucanas in forever!!! If this keeps up I wont have to buy eggs from the store again! Well at least until next winter. [IMG]

That is great news! I am almost as happy as you are! My copper blacks are still on the dole... eating chips and watching tv... no eggs.

I think my chickens know they get to stay and be fed so why bother laying much [IMG]
