Ok I am setting my eggs tomorrow. I have a hovabator with a turner and fan. The temp should be 99.5-100? I have seen so many different opinions on humidity. What should it be? And what should it be at lockdown? I am thinking of putting them in an egg carton in lockdown? Any opinions? Can you tell this is my first hatch LOL. I just want to be sure I do it right. Thanks for you help!

You have the temp right. As far as humidity goes, different levels work for different people, and it DOES depend on your climate. Let us know what state you are in and people from there can help you. I live in a very dry climate, so getting the humidity to 40% is great!!!!

OOPS!!! Egg cartons are used by many, me included, to stop the early hatches from trampling eggs and for easy clean up. But they are not necessary.

Thanks debbiraymond. I am in Missouri. I am thinking 50% and maybe 65 at lockdown? Does that sound about right?
