So I buy chooks at the local auction all the time.. some of my favs have come from there! but one "hen" in particular.. was 6 months old when I got it from a lady down the street... well today, that hen crowed AND jumped on a few hens and was bitin their necks!

Also - These two are part of a "5 assorted Hens" cage that I bought for $3 a chicken!
    but I'm thinking.. not hens...

One last - what breed is this??
I got her from a lady who had this hen and a HUGE Jersey Giant rooster.. and the roo always sat on her back.. which is why she's missing so many feathers.

    Sex Link cockerel.

    Easter Egger cockerel.

    Easter Egger cockerel.

    Easter Egger pullet.

(EE's are mutts with a possibility of either laying or passing on a blue egg gene. Most lay green eggs)

The bottom one.. lays an egg almost every day! I'd say shes about a year old though, as the lady had her for 8 months before i got her.
