I'm thinking these arent going to be laying eggs. Can I get confirmation?

    Hey guys....

So after not enough research on sexing black sexlinks I think I make a boo boo here...

Can anyone confirm my suspicion that these wont be laying any eggs?

    Thanks

Well TSC does have some good chicks... nice and healthy... no problems... however word to the wise... if you got chicks there on chicken days double check the sexing... I'm 3 for 3 on black sex links that are all supposed to be layers...

Guess I'm building a coop for the fryers sooner than later

If they are indeed black sex links, they're male.

However, knowing TSC from these threads, there's just as good a chance they're barred Rock pullets. I'd not write them off just yet. You'll know by 6 weeks, bsl males get combs pretty early and the barring comes in funky and messy looking. Small, fleshy combs and neat barring would mean Rock pullets.

Well here's a better picture of them at about 4 weeks old... feathers are well on the way in and they'll be abandoning the box pretty soon
