I havent, but I know first step is to make sure the country you're importing from is one that's allowed

Look at the USDA site, and call them directly. It's tricky and expensive, and because that diseases can pop up anywhere, at any time, direct current information is necessary.

Apologies for dragging up an old thread, but I can’t seem to find much info on this topic. Does anyone have any insight to how importing hatching eggs would differ from importing live birds? I’m sure it’s much easier, but I’d think the procedure would also be different than importing organic foods such as fruit.

Also, how does one actually import eggs? If you have all the necessary paperwork, have someone who will ship eggs to you, what next? Just have them ship it to you through the post and if anyone asks for documents just give it to them? Or is there a special way you are supposed to import things?
