About 12 weeks ago I purchased some day old silkies it seems there was an impostor in the group. I think it is a rooster but does anyone have any idea what breed it may be? I am thinking he is a purebred of some sort as the chicks came from a heritage chicken breeding facility.

    Thanks.

    He looks like he's a silkie cross. He's a pretty boy :)

You should let the seller know they sold you a silkie mix chick as a silkie. Hope the rest turned out to be true silkies

Agree that's a silkie mix cockerel. Mixed with what.....hard to say. Pretty confident it's not bantam cochin, but other than that it's anyone's guess.
