In early June, my boyfriend came home with a little duckling (not more than a two days old) that he rescued from underneath a machine at the factory that he works at. I instantly fell in love with it and it truely believes that I am it's mother. My origional plan was to try to release it back into the wild, but it has become a part of the family! I read everything I could about ducks, and worked hard to build it the perfect outdoor coop and little pond. However, I do know ducks are happier when they have friends. I believe it is a mallard duck so I am looking for others similiar in size, but am having a very hard time finding more any. Shipping is very expensive and I worry that it could also be unsafe. Does anyone know where I can get ducklings/adult ducks in Michigan?

Where are you in Michigan? I have several ducks that could be friends in Lansing... A friend of mine decided to incubate the eggs I gave her rather than eat them, and now I'm getting six hand raised ducks (about three months old) back... yours if you can pick them up!

Thanks for the advice! So far I have not found any near me.

I live near Imlay City, so Lansing is a few hours away. What kind of ducks are they?
