Hello!

We are first time homesteaders on 2.25 acres in a farming community. We are trying to find 4 or 5 Buckeye pullets or older hens in the Ohio area. We just love these birds! However, we are having trouble finding them other than baby chicks. They will be well taken care of and loved! If you are selling or have any leads, please let me know!! Willing travel within the state and possibly bordering states. We live in Orient, Ohio, a little southwest of Columbus. If I cannot find these Buckeyes, we would be open to Rhode Island Red or Buff Orpington pullets and hens. We also love to rescue animals so there is that too... :)

Thank you!!!

I'm looking for Buckeyes as well. I don't want hatchery stock if I can help it. 6 pullets. Day old to started. Started ideally, but day olds are fine too. Our place is in New Mexico. A good tip on Dark Cornish also if you know where to find them would be appreciated. Thanks

It's been a few months, so I'll bump this thread. Our Buckeyes are 7 weeks old. We got a straight run of 10 and it looks like we're going to have more roosters than hens...so we're looking to get 4-5 Buckeye pullets if anyone can help...will travel within 3 hours (we're in SW Ohio).

SO sorry, no Buckeyes here. I haven't seen them as started pullets at hatcheries either. I have a bantam Cochin roo, though! :D
