So I'm in tractor supply to buy my supplies for my chicks that are coming next weeks. I'm a newbie so I wanted to start with medicated chick starter just to help out. If I buy non medicated but use a probiotic is that essentially the same thing? And should I use the probiotic and electrolyte together. Tried to take picture not sure if worked. Thanks

The medicated part of medicated starter is a coccidiostat - if you want to use a preventative approach (vs treating it IF it develops) you can use corid, etc in a preventative dose in their water. Probiotics, etc will not take the place of the coccidiostat.
