In your flock, which pure breed lays the most eggs overall?

In a natural farm-type setting, for people who own or have owned multiple chickens of pure breeds...Who was actually your most frequent layer? I know what research and the hatcheries say. Just curious outside of that, and excluding the sexlinks/hybrids.

My Swedish Flower Hens and Iowa Blues are my most consistent layers.

My Barred Rocks have been the most consistent layers to date. At a little over 3 years old, they're still laying about 6 a week!
Must also put in a good word for Sicilian Buttercups and Welsummers, quite prolific.

For me so far, my Black Australorp. She is almost two and has never taken a break from laying. She hasn’t even molted!
I do have a Brown Leghorn, who is a good layer, as well. But has taken three breaks in her two years due to molting.

A speckled Sussex. She's almost 2, and laid 6 eggs in the past 7 days.

My blue ameraucana is the most consistent, with the exception of molting time.

Winning combo for me is Ameraucanas (even better in hotter weather) & Black Australorps (even better in winter); they both lay all thru the year & the Black Australorps out produce overall. Trying some Speckled Sussex this year also. Year around eggs!

I keep a white leghorn for the stellar production and efgiciency with regards to feed to egg return. Beyond that, my current most reliable producer is my red sex link.
