In your flock, which pure breed lays the most eggs overall?

My Barred Rock is my best layer. She gives me an egg 6-7 days a week about 9 months out of the year and then about 3-4 a week in the winter. She will be starting her third season here in a month. The first season she was a pullet in the winter so she laid through that but she slowed down this season. Now that the coldest is behind us she has upped production again. I got 5 eggs from her this week.

People ask how I know which egg is hers, well, it is slightly misshapen.

My RIR's are going into their fourth season and still lay fairly well 8-9 months out of the year but they slow down to almost a stop in the winter for about 3 months and then it takes them about a month to get going again. However, when they were younger I got an egg a day from them just like my BR. They skipped a day more often though. I have no idea which RIR lays which egg, I am just averaging it out.

Either of those breeds lay well. Or at least mine do. They are from Cackle for whatever that is worth.

I also have Orpingtons, Australorps and EE's and all of those lay okay. None as good as the BR or the RIR's though.
