Can chicks end up inbred if the rooster came out of the same clutch that the hens came out of? I bought pullets at Rural King and one ended up being a rooster but they were the same age, and when I hatched chicks, some of them had problems. One is missing a wing and on it's foot, one toe is stuck to another toe. One has spraddle leg. Is that why, or can chickens even be inbred?

Okay, but these were all supposed to be pullets and one ended up being a rooster so could they have been inbred? Could one of the hens have been a sister to the rooster?

My birds are quite related (male is literally related to every hen in at least one way in one flock) at this point and even then they rarely have issues when they do, it's usually just failure to thrive and they don't make it past a month or so. Nothing like missing pieces

Okay, so does anyone know why this one would be missing a wing? Also, the toes that are stuck together are on the left side, which is the same side wing that is missing.

I have the farm innovators incubator with the automatic egg turner that you can also buy to go with the incubator. The egg turner was turning properly.
