Hi, I just ordered an incubator, the temp fluctuates between 99.3F and 100.8F. The humidity fluctuates between 57%-62%. I am doing this to sell organic chicks and to keep some for myself. I woulf like some feedback on incubating since thisbis my first time doing this.

Your temperature is okay, although the chicks may hatch a little early or a little late depending on how long the incubator stays at those highs and lows. Your humidity however is too high. You only want it that high during lockdown, the last three days of incubation. For the first 18 days, you want it between 30-50%, which will vary based on your climate. You'll want to keep an eye on the air cell development and adjust as needed.

I thought it was 55% on the first 18 days and 80 on the last three

I know if I tried 55% here there's no way they would hatch. You can try it, but watch the air cells. Also 65-70% is fine for the last three days, you don't need to be at 80%.

Update: I candles the eggs and almost all of the two dozen I am doing are developing great. I turned the heat up to about an average of 101. The humidity reads like 60% but they are developing great, so maybe that's the humidity for this incubator.

Did you calibrate the humidity gauge first? You can't really trust that the one that came with the incubator is accurate.
