Once upon a time (I was falling in love. But now I'm only falling apart...) I wanted to have a ranch. Morgans (yes, really) on one side, and motorcycles on the other. I wanted to have jet black hair down to my knees. I could always see it blowing in the gentle breeze as I walked across the field, leading a mare.

Then life happened.

I wanted Morgans too, and Belgians.
I also wanted Dexter cattle, mute swans, elk and bison. No motorcycles though. They don't reproduce and take too much work.

Sorry, I didn't come up with the name. Anyway, you're the girly one.
I'm just telling you what they're called and how to tell them apart. They don't have curly tails. You have to have pairs together to tell which is the gander. We had a lone Canadian we were rescuing and everyone thought it was a gander. Then it went to a rehap facility and paired up. Then they found out it was a goose.
I've already had 2. Now I'm having green tea with second breakfast. It's oxtail soup for lunch. I made 2 big pots yesterday and froze some. My son made the roux for it. I told him he was using too much butter. He said, "I know what I'm doing". I said, "yeah, but you're used to cooking for 800, you and I will probably be the only ones eating this."

Well the work and animal induced smiles continue.
Here is my llama cushing and being very patient while the kids played king of the mountian on him, a kid using the coop I am building as a jungle gym, and the front of the coop I am working on with the temporary exit door. I need the 8x12 run I am adding, but I am going to put it in use before it is done for the chicks I want and need out of the too small brooder pen.



It should be habitable if not done or painted Wednesday.
