Hello!

I've been following this site and all the incubator advice for several weeks and just purchased a Hovabator Deluxe Egg Incubator Combo kit and the HumidiKit to start our own chicken flock.

When I was in highschool we borrowed an incubator and hatched out our own eggs. Those chicks ended up being sterile because of improper incubation techniques. Thus, I am very grateful for forums like this to help me along now as we build a flock of chickens for our own home!

My 5y/o daughter is super excited about seeing the baby chicks hatch! Though I've raised chickens before, I consider myself to be a newbie to hatching out chickens myself. Any advice for novices that you may be able to offer would be incredibly helpful!

Sincerely,
Hannah

Hi Hannah,

Good luck with your hatch. How fun to have your daughter involved in the process!
