We put 16 eggs in our incubator yesterday and of course the power goes out (which NEVER happens around here but 7000 people lost power). It was maybe only off for 30-45 minutes at the most but the temp went down in the incubator - to about 93 I think. As soon as the power came back on it went back up to temp after a little bit but my question is, will the eggs be okay? I know the temp goes down when you open it to turn eggs, etc. But I worry that this was the first day when you are just suppose to put them in and leave them alone, don't bother them until you start turning the next day. We didn't open the incubator or mess with them, I covered the incubator with a towel to try and keep the heat in better but it still got down to 93. Thankfully the power came back on after 30-45 minutes when it had estimated us as power coming back on at 7pm (which would have been about 3 hours). Could someone answer this question and stop my worrying? :)
