    Hey
So i am a first time incubator user and i have NO IDEA what to go. As there are so many on the market.. My budget is $250 ish. And was thinking about going the Janoel 96 incubator. Whats your thoughts? Any problems with it? Hatch rate? Easy to use? Worth the $$$$? Thanks all :) [IMG]

Welcome to BYC! Glad you decided to join our flock. I've never used the Janoel 96 incubator so I can't give an opinion on it. I've used some of the Genesis styrofoam incubators with automatic egg turner and air circulation fan and had a good hatch rate with them. Murray McMurray has a good one at https://www.mcmurrayhatchery.com/full_view_picture_window_incubator.html for under $200. I would strongly recommend that whichever one you get, you get the automatic egg turner and air circulating fan. Please feel free to ask any other questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck with whatever incubator you decide to get.

I don't have experience with that incubator, so I can't tell you how great it is. If you post in the Incubation section of the forums, though, other members might be able to give you their opinions: Incubating & Hatching Eggs

    Good luck!

Welcome to BYC![IMG] We're glad to have you.

You've received some good links already. I've never used that incubator, so unfortunately can't be of much help.

I highly recommend GQF's Genesis Hovabator 1588. Cutler Supply has it for $168.65 with the 1611 turner: http://cutlersupply.com/zen_new51/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2_24_28&products_id=213

This is as as close to a set-and-forget incubator as you can get. I use it to loan to families who want their kids to experience hatching chicks (I have a Sportsman cabinet incubator for my personal hatching - but that is out of your price range). It works great and is easy to use. Make sure any incubator is placed in a room that has a fairly stable temp and humidity.
