I wasn't exactly sure where to post this but I am interested in learning about which types of birds can be housed inside. I chose here because I was thinking of a duck despite the fact that they are messy. I have already read about how hard that can be and would like some alternate ideas. I am a vegetarian (also don't eat eggs) because of the horror stories you hear and see from some places. I know that is not the case everywhere, I don't mean to offend anyone, but since I will never know where the meat and eggs at the grocery store come from, I choose not to eat meat/eggs. However, I was thinking it would be a cool project to see what birds I can house inside using a spare bedroom and have my own bird who I know is being cared for properly and humanely. Ideally one bird or 2 for companionship. So I would like to know your expert thoughts on which birds do best without a flock and can be kept inside but produce eggs that are large enough to he worth while for eating. Thanks! :)
