Infrared Heat Lamp and Egg Laying

I am using a 250 Watt Infrared heat lamp to add a little heat to a small coop. Will the infrared light also stimulate egg laying in the winter or must it be white light? thanks.

I've read that red light can stimulate.
I doubt you need heat in the coop, and if you do a heat lamp is about the most dangerous ways to do so.
