Ingrown Feather?

I found a lump on my 1 1/2 year old black sex links neck. I think it's an ingrown feather, but not for sure. If it is will it go away on it's own? Do I need to do anything for it?

If it's an ingrown feather, you need to work it out. Search BYC for "feather cyst" to see how to get rid of it. They don't go away on their own.

Could it be a mass of lice eggs....? I'm not sure.

I cut a slit in the top of the lump this morning and the whole feather came out.
