Ingrown foot feathers? Infection?

My Buff Brahma has something wrong with her legs. She has lost most of her leg feathers and the feather follicles have black plugs that fall off easily and then the follicle bleeds. Any ideas on what this could be? The other Brahma is fine. None of the same symptoms.

Looks like a really bad case of scaly legs mites. Soak her feet for fifteen minutes to half an hour in warm epsom salts. Longer the better. Then get some castor oil and dip her whole feet and legs in it, or get a paint brush and paint it on.

Yes, it's messy, but it wears off. The castor oil will smother the mites, and it's also antibiotic to help the infection.

Repeat every week until you see improvement.
