Hey, I'm new here. I have 11 chickens, 8 Rhode island reds and 3 leghorns. 2 of my leghorns are 10 week old roosters, affectionately know as Pip and Squeak. After mama went back to the flock, Pip and Squeak started getting bullied by my big girls (chased and peeked). About 4 days ago squeak came limping out of the coop, right leg swollen. He wouldn't stand on it for very long. That night I brought both my boys inside to get a good look at Squeak's foot, give them a break from the big girls and get some proper nutrition (not just the crumbs the girls let them have).

Both of Squeak's feet have what looks like bruising on the toes and the right ankle is swollen with bubbles on the webbing between the toes. In the past 2 days, the swelling has gone down but the limping has gotten worse. He's begun to whine as well. After doing some research, I've ruled out bumble foot. There is not cut, lump or black scab on his foot. I've attached some pictures. Hoping for some help or advice. I'm a single mother of 2, on a very limited income so at home remedies are preferred!!

Thank you!! I didn't realized I had to select a size for them to post..

i suggest you keep them indoors a little or if you like you can get a wire cage put them in with their feed and watered and add them to the females for sometime as they are both in one room they would get used to one another then after like two to three weeks you can let them out to join the others they would be fine .....

I have no idea what’s going on, but perhaps for it to heal, the foot needs rest. You can make a sling to keep the weight off her foot. They are easy to make. Put food and water right at her head and keep her buddy nearby.

To integrate use a run or other cage in the pen. Keep them in there for about two or three weeks and let them out with supervision and if all goes well, they can stay out but still keep an eye on things, and if they are still being attacked, put them back in the cage and repeat.
Good luck with your hen!
