Hi Everyone, I need some help on what to do! My flock got attacked today by some kind of bird. My 13 week old hen got the worst. She has a wound above her vent on the right side and looks like a hole or puncture wound from a bird's beak. I immediately took her in and checked her and it seems to had stopped bleeded by the time I got to her. The feathers were pulled out and she has a wound that looks like her small vent. At first I thought it was her vent that got injured but wasn't. So I took a small baby washcloth and dabbed the wound with warm water. No bleeding. Then I used hydrogen perioxide and the some batadine and some neosporin. She is eating and drinking and so I returned her the coop. I put a red heat lamp in the coop and turned it on for heat. However, my other hen and baby rooster were shaken up and ok. Just some feathers put out of my 22 week old rooter's leg. No blood. And my momma who is the mother of the 22 week and 13 week had some feather pulled out of her side and again no blood. Our flock is in the coop tonight asleep. I have checked on them periodically since 2pm and they are all shook up still picking on one another. Now its dark and my 13 week and momma won't sit on the roost. They just sit there and I'm guessing because they could be in pain. I'm afraid to seperate my 13 week old hen due to the flock forgetting her and I don't want her to get any worst. What to do? And should I buy Vetericyn spray? Thanks and the picture is a bit hard to see its not that deep of a wound. I couldnt get a good picture of it.
