This morning I found that one of my 3 Quail seems to of hurt her left leg. She's not moving it and her foot is scrunched over. I haven't got any pictures right now as it's too dark, almost like shes trying to walk on the back of her foot. She's dug up some worms so shes eating and drinking fine, she can move about but its only in small, limping hops. Mostly shes just been sat near her nest tucked away. I can't be sure if it was the same Quail - but a few days ago one of them spooked and hit her head on the cage roof, she seemed a bit dazed and ended up walking backwards a little, but then she cleared up next day. I'm wondering if as shes fallen, shes landed funny on her leg? I've felt the foot and there doesn't seem to be any life or resistance in the toes as I've moved them about a little.
Just wondering what your opinion is? Unless she ends up being in obvious great pain I'll still keep her as a special needs birdie. Shes quite tame and I enjoy watching them all ^-^
