My chick seems to have lost an eye, probably due to one of the other chicks. He/She is a white yokohama. Should I be concerned or will he just have to grow up with only one eye?[IMG]

    Aww, poor thing :(

I know I have heard of chicks having injured eyes due to the other chicks, but losing an eye I've never heard of. I know she can probably live without an eye, but it will be tough but I'm sure he/she will learn how. I'd just keep an eye on her and make sure it doesn't get infected. If he/she acts like she is in pain, then I'd put her down.

Thanks for the advice. He/she doesn't seem to anything abnormal, much less cringe in pain or anything. I am positive there is no eye in the socket though.

Maybe she is young enough that growing up with it will make it easier?. If she was an older bird it would make it pretty hard on them. Like I said before, just watch it to make sure it doesn't get infected. :)
