My 3 week old chick got her foot tangled in some rope. She rubbed a couple of spots raw struggling to get free. thankfully, her foot isn't broken, but what should I do about the raw spots? I tried to give her some sugar water, but she only took a few swallows and then went to sleep.

Apply one of the following: betadine, Vetericyn, BluKote, or plain antibiotic ointment such as bacitracin or neopsorin. Can she walk okay?

Yes, Piper can stand and walk, but she's favoring it. Me being the guilty owner that I am, I come running as soon as she chirps for me, so she's living like a queen wrapped in a towel. I put ointment on the raw spots, that seemed to perk her up. She drank more of the sugar water also. The raw spots are not as red this morning either, but I'm going to keep her in the brooder until she's back to her adventurous self again.
