I have a one year old Hen who injured either her foot or leg. I don’t see a break or much swelling. I looked for signs of infection but don’t see any. She is not putting weight on her left leg. Her injury happened last Tuesday. Not sure what happened but my guess is she injured it jumping off the roost. We had her wings clipped a few days before the injury. She is the only one of my chickens who would fly over the fence on occasion. We clipped them for her protection but now I fear it may have caused her injury. I feel so bad about that. Since the injury I have kept her in a crate and made sure she has everything she needs near her. She has continued to lay an egg every day. My neighbor who is used to be a physical therapist doesn’t think it is broken. I had it wrapped the first day but he didn’t think it was necessary although he has no experience with chickens. Yesterday and today I carried her out to the run to be with her sisters. They are not picking on her. Not sure what I should be doing for her. My vet doesn’t take of chickens and I live in a small town with no other vets available.
Ideas and thoughts? I took a video but am having issues uploading it unfortunately.

Maybe it's Marek's...make her a chicken sling. Google it: It's pretty easy to make and use. I'm no expert on what to do however.

I am really feeling it’s an injury and not a disease. At least I sure hope it’s not Mareks. I have been reading up on it today and will continue to watch her closely. Thanks
