Injured comb

A fox got into my coop last night and ate all but one of my Bantams. Once I got it inside I realized it must've nearly died also because it's little comb is missing. I know it won't regrow but how should I treat it? I am keeping it inside until I get some more chickens to put outside with it. This is still a little chicken so I'm not even sure whether it is a hen or rooster. I'm devastated and trying my best to coddle the traumatized chick I have left.

sorry for the problem. I would apply antibiotic ointment to the injured area. Hopefully there are not more significant injuries.

Heartbreaking loss! Get her to drink some sweetened water and keep her warm.

The seven others weren't as lucky, unfortunately. I am trying to attach an image. It almost looks like this ones entire head was in the mouth of the fox.
