Injured Duck

While climbing out of a small kiddie pool, one of our 6 ducks seemed to have hurt it’s hip. It now cannot stand or walk at all. The other 5 seem to ignore it. The duck is not in pain as long as it remains on the ground. We put food and water directly in front of it so it will get nourished, but it does not seem to be getting better. We have a larger pool that we put it into where it can swim and does fine in the pool. Should we take it to the vet or just let it heal, or possibly die?

sorry for the circumstances. Unless it was a long drop, most likely the duck strained or sprained something. How long ago did it happen ?

This is something you will have to decide. It's to be hoped that the injury will heal quickly.
