Just noticed that my chicken had a foot injury. One of the scales seem to be on the verge of falling off and the skin around it looks ripped. Should I clean and bandage it? if so, what do I use to sanitise the foot?

Is she acting like it's hurting her? Is she limping or listless, and how's her scratching? It looks like something may have crushed that toe. I've found chickens to be incredibly resilient and unless she's acting like she needs help I would leave her be. I had a rooster that had a few scales fall right off his toe after being shut in the door. He's fine and they grew back, and he now avoids closing doors.

You don't need to bandage it but you need to put an antiseptic cream on it. Any general cream would do the trick
