Injury or fowl pox?

This is on a near 3mo old tolbunt polish.
After moving them to a larger coop area, I noticed this on its leg. No change in behavior, no favoring of the leg.

Wondering if it looks like an injury or fowl pox, and what recommendations anyone has for it moving forward.

There was a small hole chewed through the previous coop, a suspected mouse or rat. Could potentially be a bite?

At first blush, I'm going to say injury. Fowl pox typically presents upon the face and wattles of chickens, not feet and knees.

I'd recommend a warm bath with Epsom salts for about 20 minutes and dried with an old terry cloth rag, moving the rag from top of the leg downwards towards the toes (with the grain of the scales, not against it). This bathing should give you a better idea of what's going on, under the scab/dirt, and enable you to see if it's infected.

Is this leg and/or foot warmer to the touch than the unaffected leg/foot? Warmer would be another indicator of infection.

Additional pictures of the face and also new pictures of the leg & feet (both top and bottom of feet please) after the bath, will help to further assess the situation.

No difference in temp on legs, gave another wash down but will have to get some Epsom salts for a soak.

Solo foot photo is of the injured leg.

Definitely looks like an injury of some sort. It looks badly bruised, but I'm not seeing evidence of bumble (infection) from your photograph. Comb looks clean, and as that's the first place that mosquitos attack (carriers of fowl pox), I'd again suggest an injury.

Thank you, any suggestions on treating?
