my chicks are 6 days old. they were perfectly well when I checked them about 1 pm. 2 hours later I found 1 with twisted neck. their feed has vitamins and minerals added. any idea what the problem is?

I gave him vitamins, some sugar water for shock, later I gave him some egg yolk and honey water with little aspirin. he started to move his neck but still is very bad. I tried to put him under the broody and she rejected him. when it got dark and she went to sleep with the other 2 chicks I managed to put the sick one under her. I hope he gets better by the morning. is there anything else I can do?

General treatment for wry neck is Vitamin E and Selenium, check the vitamins you gave to see if it has those in it.
Since the broody rejected him, it may be an injury. You may have to separate him from her to give him supportive care.
Whether it is injury or wry neck, I would still provide the vitamins to see if there is any improvement.

thank you. I left him under the broody at night but she got up in the morning and rejected him again. I found him stretched and frozen, he might have been like that for max 30 minutes. I thought he had been dead but at the very last moment he moved so I took a hairdryer to warm him up and gave him some water with vitamins and honey. at this point I gave him baytril as well. he is in the house now, sleeping. it seems his neck is better but he is very weak. at least he is on his little feet again.

    Poor little thing.
Hopefully you can get him going, it sounds like you are doing everything you can.
