I'm Olivia, I just brought home my first ever chicks. Three Barred Rocks, chosen because of their temperament because I'm about to have my first baby later this month and I want my kids to grow up taking care of all kinds of pets. We also have a 2yr old 120lb Bernese/Newfoundland mix, Nina, and a grey cat named Lily of an indeterminate age that has been an indoor cat her whole life but is going to learn the ways of the outdoors once this (human) baby comes. We have a large garden and I'm in the process of making a garden to surround the coop so the girls will have plenty of treats. [IMG]

    Ooh! Sounds super neat!
A little tip from me: when the birds are about 2 and a half months old, I suggest handling them as much as possible. This'll get them loving you and as least skittish as possible. Congratulations on the chicks and the new baby!
