insecticides for peafowl on ground

I have a four month old silver pied peafowl.I was wondering what type of insecticide to use,to prevent mites and lice.I have a pen for them outside.Thank you.

Do you have bugs already?
The only way to prevent bugs long term is to use a powerful insecticide and that is very harmful to birds but if you see something 7-dust works great,

The best preventive for mites is to keep fresh dusting area , that is how they get rid of bugs in nature.

As zazouse says, sevin dust works great on the pen floor and dust bath area and can even be sprinkled on the bird. Pour on Ivermectin works great on mites and lice as well.
