I went to buy some feed the other day and the owner said they were selling some thing new to use in the coop. She said it was the stuff left over from milling buck wheat.
Any one use or try this? Any good? Is it, or should it be, any cheaper?

It should work OK, but I doubt it will be cheaper than pine shavings
