I have made up my mind to go with the Australorp as my front line chicken on my farm. I like it for its dual role of meat production and the fact that it lays brown eggs. I have researched all the breeds of chickens and listened to what all of you guys have said over the last 2 weeks and view this an educated decision. So...

If you will be hatching australorp chicks anywhere around here mid to late Feb, or later let me know...I'm interested. Thanks in advance

I just bought some barred rock chicks last night from Whipowill Hill Farm in Troy, NC. He had a brooder full of astralorps. I think he was selling them for $2.00 per chick. Don't hold me to that. He said he had a ton in the house that had just hatched. They were a few days old.

He also has hatching eggs as well. He said he would cut me a deal on the eggs. I was not interested because my bator is full at the moment.

He had beautiful hens that were his breeding stock.

His name is Donny Epps and his # is 910-576-4660.
If you call him please tell him Darin said to call.

Thanks!
Darin
