    Try
to get by the title. It is obviously offensive and not true. However go down to the actual questions and read the results. The questions show the deliberate misinformation put out. This is a pew study which is a legitimate research organization. It also says that the other media sources put out false info. Just not in the same volume.

If you are in the ranks of people that incorrectly believe the items listed, you should use your remote.

Not trying to be offensive. Just hate seeing people believe so many things that aren't true. There's enough bad stuff out there about the same subjects that is true. They shouldn't fill peoples heads with all this false info. There should be regulations on the false information the media is allowed to put out.

51% of us already know all about that [IMG] I'll stick with NPR- no corporate sponsors to filter the information.

Just because you chant something enough times, doesn't make it true--and I'm talking about BOTH sides of that fence. Yes, the title is offensive. [IMG]

Geez, seems really super simple that if someone questions the place of my birth, I'd just show them the certificate, complete with the registrar's number in plain view. That would solve the whole dang thing, now wouldn't it? Guess it's too logical for most folks, huh? [IMG] Problem solved then. Sigh.

I don't listen to the news other than local--there is no longer any such thing as objective reporting on either side, so I'm just staying on my mountain and minding my own business and the gov't can mind theirs.

    BTW, *NPR objective???? Um, er....*

So you think that Fox viewers are stupid and that link explains a lot of why you think that way?

I watch Fox news so then I must be stupid?

Quote:I guess you didn't read the post. No I don't think they're stupid. I think they are misinformed and should watch some additional programming and perhaps get some opposing facts.

As for a BC. Does anyone really think that the other side would allow a POTUS to stay in office that wasn't a citizen. Think it through. Even the leaders of the opposing party won't have anything to do with birthers. The party that has set the goal of making sure Obama is a one term President above all other goals including helping the country.

The bad thing about this article is that it spends a lot of time talking about "misinformation" and "stupidity", but it doesn't give a reason "why" the said people are misinformed, or give data to counter the said arguments. A neutral bystander reading this article wouldn't get much out of it. Maybe I missed something . . . [IMG]

Don't get me wrong, I like reading different viewpoints, and thank you for posting the article.

I just think that this article just seemed to lack facts and information to back up its claims, either way.

The party that has set the goal of making sure Obama is a one term President above all other goals including helping the country.

I think it's going to be more the progressive left who are going to be the deciding factor in Obama's future. Right now they don't seem too pleased with him. I wish I could find the link with the interview I got this impression from. . . but alas, it escapes me [IMG]

Between the TV quasi news stations and the internet spam that keeps showing up in my e-mail. I am sure that if I didn't question the information that I could end up believing just about anything. It is amazing how much propaganda is being thrown at us these days. I am fairly sure that it doesn't matter which party is in power at the time, both of the political parties are as bad as the other. It doesn't matter who is President. I don't think that the office has any power to change much of anything. If McCain had been elected the news would be throwing out garbage about him too.

The one thing that I do like about Obama is that he is and acts like an intelligent man. He is not as embarrassing as some of the former Presidents have seemed to appeared to have been.
