intro to the big girls

when and how is a good time to introduce my chicks to the adults outside? They are getting too big for my brooder and my chicken house is big they will be fine in there and will have a heat light. I just dont want to cause troubles outside in the pen.

They should be about the size of the big hens. First seperate them in the coop in a wire cage so the other hens can see but not hurt them. After a while you can introduce them. sometimes it goes well other times some say they have had to remove them. I waited till mine were 18 weeks to introduce and the big hens will still chase them and occ. peck them. It is better than it was. jean
