Introducing a Roo

Is is possible to introduce a rooster to an established flock of hens? They range from 1-3 yrs old. From PolishX, Ameraucana?, Buffs, Isa (10 total).

Put the boy where he can see in they can see him but no touching for about three days
you may have to run a bit interference

Depends on the age of the Rooster. If it's under a year old it's a Cockerel. Most Cockerel are mature enough to handle Hens after they are over 9 months.

Roosters are one of the easiest integrations. If he is full grown, there may be a few scuffles, but every time I have done it, they have all been in love before morning.

A rooster has to be easier then the hens. Girls can be brutal. My guess is the problem won't be with him, but with them.
