Introducing Gander to my flock

Hi! my goose lost her mate this last summer... she is almost a year old... i found a gander that is the same age as her, im picking him up today. will they be inclined to fight? my goose is in with a flock of 8 hens and to roos... whats the best way to introduce him?

Maybe try putting him in a small separation cage near her, and let her see him. Then, after a while, let him out and see what happens.

as far as geese go, If your in the northern hemisphere its flirting season (or should we say choose your partner season). Give him a small pond to show off in and he may do all the work for you.
