Hi! So, we have 2 one-week old ducklings who've been with us since hatching. They are wonderful - a Rouen and a little Mallard, which came from an abandoned egg. They are best of friends, the two of them.
We got 4 more ducks to complete our little duck flock last night. The 4 new ducklings are about 5 days younger and a bit smaller (WOW...they grow fast). They are quite a bit smaller than our chubby Rouen!
When we tried to integrate them last night, the older two were nipping and even bit one of the babies (esp. the Mallard!) - which I didn't expect from what I've read/heard about ducklings.
Any advice for integrating these guys - I'd like them together asap...
There is not a massive difference in size, but it is there.
