I have 12 fledglings all from the same hatchery. I found someone on Craigslist with frizzle x silkie fledglings and I have to have them so I am picking up the three chicks on Friday. I need to know though, is this a bad idea? She sounds like she just breeds by accident/for fun. I think hatchery chicks are vaccinated and these chicks will not be.
Is there anything special I need to do? Should I quarantine them for a while, if so how long?
    Thanks.

Also, does anyone knows if frizzle x silkie chicks is what is considered a sizzle chicken?

Hey, I am beginning to breed for fun and to make a little extra money. Anyways they don't need to be vaccinated and from some hatcherys it actually costs extra. I got two EE's from a breeder and it was fine. You of course should quarantine them for a few weeks just to make sure they don't have any diseases, but then you should quarantine chicks from hatcherys and feed stores to.
That sounds like a fun cross!
