Introducing pullets to older chickens

I have three 7 week old pullets and I don't know how to introduce them to my older chickens in the coop. Last time I tried about a week ago the older chickens starting to attack them. Should I just let them show who's boss or should I wait a few more weeks?

If you can, put the pullets in a cage inside the coop where the hens can see them but not get to them. After a week or so let them out to wonder around. The older hens will still go after them a little bit, but it shouldn't be as bad because they will be used to the new pullets being in their space. It'll day a few days, or perhaps a week or so, but they will eventually accept them.
