Hi, I just joined BYC would like to introduce my self.
I have been raising chickens off and on all my life. full time for the last five years.
I have named my little spot Feathers Ranch I am located in the foothills two hrs. from Sacramento.
I started with back yard mixes. then found Marans. I am in love with the breed. I have expanded to Seramas both smooth and frizzled. then fell in love with the Silkied Serama.
I have other breeds, Cochins, smooth and frizzled I have also acquired some of those all black chickens.
I have down sized from several hundred to 35 big Chickens. and fifty Seramas.
recently I got Love Birds and Parakeets.
I have ran a small dog rescue from my home. I have a few leftovers that are lifers. meaning they will stay with me for life. I am retired and enjoying my little ranch.

Great! They are amazing, and are very heat tolerant! I just hatched out a batch of them from my flock this week.
