My Speckled Sussex are 15 weeks old now. A couple of them have combs that are turning red and they have been investigating the nesting boxes. Our roo "Cockadoodledoo"(named by my 6 year old grandaughter) tried mounting one yesterday. He is 15 weeks as well. I know that different breeds begin laying at different times. It seems pretty early to me, but now I guess I am just hopefull!
Any thoughts?
