My husband and I have a shed/garage that we keep our mowing equipment in that's 15x20. We're going to divide the shed/garage in half and use the back half as the chicken coop since there's a wide flat space behind the shed/garage that we've already made into the chicken run. We started out with 6 golden comets and have ended up with 4 left (Other two got out of run and our german shepherd got one while our corgi pup got the other). Anyhow my question is my husband thinks the back half of the shed/garage is around 8x8 is that enough room for 4 chickens plus maybe two more?

8x8 is enough room for 4 chickens even if they don't have a run space. If you want to put 6 chickens in there, they will probably need a run. The general rule is 4sq ft per chicken for coop space and 10 sq ft per chicken for run space. More is always better!
