Is a flowering pink almond bush safe around a chicken coop

Good Morning,

I am building a new, smaller coop that will be closer to my house so that I can enjoy my little flock more. In the spot that I am going to put it there is an already established flowering pink almond bush. I have googled it and can't seem to find if it is poisonous for chickens or not. I can try to relocate it if necessary but it would look nice by the coop if it is safe to stay there. Does anyone know if it's ok or no?

I've never heard of any problems associated with almond bush. They should appreciate the shade.

Thanks, I couldn't find any information that it was bad so I guess it's not a "known" poisonous one.

That would be my take. Even poisonous things will be avoided by the chickens unless they're confined where that is all available to eat.
