is blu/red kote safe for egg laying hens?

    hello,
    my hen gertie eitheris a feather picker or has mites or im not sure. im spreaying her and the coop with mite bug spray. ive read blue/red kote will help her bald spots heal??? it says on the label not safe for food producing animals???just wanted to know what everyone thinks before i use it~~~[​IMG]

    I spray my layers wounds with blue-kote and never had a problem with the eggs..... I thought it was safe for poultry, but then again never read the label....[​IMG]
    anyway, we've ate the eggs and have had no side effects...[​IMG]

    be careful if you use the blu-kote. I used it on one of my chicks and the vent area got clogged now she is worse than she was before.
